Age Group Rank = 9/70
Pre-race routine:

gave myself 40 minutes to get up & out & have breakfast -throw "layers" & BT cooler into the car, woke up to a light dusting of SNOW on the car! quiet & pretty outside-drove a little over an hour to the race site- had to go around blocked off streets to find parking lot that On The Run had picked out.Had usual coffee/sweet/yogurt..then sipped on vit H20 & listened to tunes on the ride...
Event warmup:

walking! to & from lot- to registration - to meeting place- to port a pot- to start - all the while scanning for BTers-people harder to pick out with all those clothes on in a crowd of thousands in the snow! Found C2fd outside registration....no real "warm up" but crowded start so first mile was really a warm up.

Comments:

Really thought that other BTers would emerge from the pack but was not to be- C2fd & I ran at an easy conversational pace- enjoying the crowd- the snow- the bands - miles just went by...suddenly it was last mile & time to think that hey this is a race!
What would you do differently?:

Better system to meet up with BTers-Missed Maxine's debut! LOL
Otherwise- nothing- this was a day for fun...and "thanks" for being healthy & being able to go out and play...
Post race
Warm down:

Wait around & stretch at the garage finish looking for the BT gang- got chilled so went to parking lot to get dry clothes & Voila! Max & crew coming down the hill - May smiling as always! A Mimosa toast to BT !Thanks Ron!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not running for speed- just for fun!

Event comments:

A thanksgiving "feast" of fun- lucky to be out there- good time-good people! And home to turkey & pie...can't beat that!

It's nice meeting you.  Thanks for the food.  BT cooler is awesome!

You call a sub-9 pace easy??  Looks like I've got a lot to work on

Oh yeah, I've got some photos up, both in my RR and the album.  In album with captions.

Hi there--

So Glad we hooked up!!  Thanks so much for providing some of the post-race goodies at the tailgate party!  I made it home in time to get the turkey in the oven

Great race there lady!! You were cruising right along, smiling, waving, chattering and I was huffing, and puffing trying to keep up! Next time gotta where less stuff, too many layers.

Thanks for the BT cooler full of goodies!! Such a special treat.

What a great day...that was my most enjoyable race all year. If it wasn't for all the great BT people, I probably wouldn't have even run in those conditions. We gotta do it more often.
