Master 1741     Boston |  Subject: Experience installing an Ipod in your car?Okay- my boyfriend REALLY wants this done for Valetine's Day....but from what I've heard- it's around $250 and higher to have this done= a little too expensive. Does anyone have their Ipod installed in their car that could give some input on where to go, how much it costs, etc. FYI, he has a Mazda 3. THANKS  |

There are tons of FM transmitter kits you can get in the $50-$100 range, and they're just plug and play. But I'm guessing you're talking about some kind of dock that's hard-wired? Didn't know you could do that... |

Works great for now, though when I get a new ride later this year, I may opt for adealer-installed integrated system, or something like the Harmon-Kardon system here. |
