Subject: RE: Phuket 70.3 I'm doing the 'international' one the week before and I think the course is similar. Have heard the same stories about the course being hilly and one of the guys who is doing it with us did it last year. He didn't have to push his bike up the hills but he saw a lot doing it. Have seen it recommended to change your back cog to 11-28 to make it a bit easier. I think it also depends if you can climb in the saddle because the people he saw in trouble it was because their back wheels were slipping on the road (it is the monsoon season so it will probably rain ). This usually happens when you stand to climb and less so when sitting. |
