Here is a relatively interesting article. It has drawn quite a few letters to the editors. I have a feeling he might not get re-elected. This just spells out to me, why I have no faith in ANYBODY in DC being able to fix our government.

"Risch brushes off criticism the Senate takes too much time off from Washington. “There’s nothing happening when we’re back there and there’s nothing happening when we’re not back there. What’s the difference?”

Wow.  I think we all know it's true but to come out and admit it like that.  Yeah it's broken beyond all repair at this point.

Good for him to admit the truth.

Bad that we'll never get Term Limits to fix it.  The worst part of that was him saying "You can't be governor forever, it'll wear you down... you can do this job ad infinitum."

Exactly the problem.

I don't think it's a party thing, I think it's a get elected, stay elected thing.  The independents that get into office are exactly the same way.

Agreed. The fact that we now talk about the government on a daily basis shows how much they have intruded into our lives. I don't trust or care for any of them.

lol.  Every time I'm ready to write off any budding friendship ideas between us, you say something i COMPLETLY agree with.   Risch will end up in a Minneapolis bathroom stall.

Ha! last time I was in Minneapolis, I was very careful NOT to tap my feet...

I'm a proponent of the 2 and 1 plan.  2 terms, 1 term off.  Then there are more chances to replace people and that 1 term has to be spent back in the home district, not lobbying in DC...
