According to my thermometer and there might be some variance the temp at Main Beach was 15c. The Chilliwack River was 9c. Maybe one swim before Oliver?

Thanks for the temperature reading!!

I was planning on giving it a go this weekend. I bought a new wet suit and need to test it out...

I also need to get accustomed to cold water for Coeur D'Alene... Temp sounds about right for that... lol

Lots of people in the water at Tuc el Nuit Lake. I went in10 days ago and it was 64degF/18C while Okanagan was 60degF on the same day. Since then the Okanagan has come up a foot or two and has cooled somewhat but Tuc is still swimmable.

Are you coming for the HIM/June 2, or the Oly/Sprint June 16th? I'm planning on doing the Oly with a friend.

I hear CdA is a pretty cold swim. After wading into the Okanagan at 60F I wouldn't want the water to be much colder.

My Wife and I shall be at the HIM on June 2nd, .. Mostly for a nice training day as I will be coming off my last peak week for CdA right before....
18C sounds nice to me .... I am a slow swimmer so will be in the water for awhile...

Cheers,

Mike

I've been considering volunteering at the HIM. Have a good race.

I found a sprint, the Lake Las Vegas Triathlon, that was happening four months down the road and signed myself up; much to the surprise of friends and family.

I have Bontrager Race Lite wheels. I was looking into renting Zipp 303's or 404's for race day for Ironman Lake Placid. What time will I save?

I am running Boston in April and Ironman Lake Placid is in July. I have been told that it is ambitious to think about doing an IM so close to a marathon due to the recovery time. Any suggestions?

The first time I ventured into the deep murky green lake and could not see the bottom my muscles tensed and my imagined fears surfaced. What exactly lies beneath?

Both the Lake Triathlon Shoe CX210TRI and the Lake Road Shoe CX225 offer distinct advantages. I tested both shoes and found them to be extremely comfortable, good looking and durable.

If you are calm while everyone around you is losing it, you probably don’t know what the hell is going on.
