Good morning BT!

6:00am:  :55 high cadence spin/warm up

Enjoying some coffee before heading out for about a 7-8 mile run--including 5 X 1 mile at race pace

I ended up getting out to Blue Lake to swim yesterday afternoon--no divers or no fishermen, had the place to myself (along with younger daughter and her friend).  I think I'll definitely start going out during the week to avoid the weekenders that camp out there.

Today looks like the best day of the week weather wise so also planning to hike a little later with some students that have been wanting to go.

Have a great day!

50 min in the pool for 1400m

After warming up was my main set of 750m in about 21:30. I'm pretty happy since two months ago I couldn't make it to 750m, and about 1 month ago I tested 750m in about 29:00. (Todays 750 was mostly 50's w/ 15-30 RI).

Other than that, it was slow kicking with fins and pulling to work on alignment and tautness.

Ooooh, I live 1 mile repeats. Hope they were fun.

5:40 - moderate 20' run

11:45 - 2,400 yard swim, with the main set consisting of 3 sets of 200 moderate, 4 x 50 on 40", 100 easy. Allegedly this was supposed to be easy. I wouldn't classify it as such (well, at least the 50s).

Have a great day!

3200m of swimming at 6 AM that began with rescue of a baby bird that had apparently fallen into Lane 1 from the beams above the pool--sometimes birds fly in and hang out there or even build nests. (Our pool and some of the hallways are partly open to the outside--I know--maybe hard to visualize.) It could swim a little, but was too wet and maybe stressed or tired to hop out onto the side--kept trying and was getting exhausted and starting to struggle in the water. I fished it out on a kick board and, followed by anxious mom and a few siblings (who managed to avoid water landings) took it outside. Was worried it wouldn't make it but after about five minutes they all took off.

Good evening all!

Ended up doing a 60 minute run this evening outside. 80F here in Atlanta already, should be an interesting summer.

Have a great hump day!

12.5 mile ride after my 90min massage to get the muscles activated again. Hydrating heavily this week with strict diet, and minimal caffeine

feeling pretty good. down 22.5lbs, but was hoping for 30 before race. We'll see what happens.

countdown: 2 days and race Saturday
