I know it is still a couple weeks away but does anyone want to meet up for dinner the night before?  I am partial to The Colony since there are alot of people that are racing that live there.

I like Romas on Main and North Colony but if anyone has other suggestions we can all decide.  When I have been to Romas they are never real busy and getting a large group in on a Saturday night should not be a probelm.

(And after we eat we can go TP Gary's house for fun!!)

Yeah, good idea.  I think we should all start taking the big rolls from work now so we have a bunch.

as long as it's not brown,
wrap it around..

but I'm not sure if I'm racing or not since it's so close to IMKY, so I might just get body marked so I can go into transition and return the favor on unsuspecting bikes

I'll probably make it to eat also.. Roma's is my favorite place, it's on speed dial on my phone

My hubby is going to be working as an official, so I will probably be out there.........if the back allows it.

I'll be the one on pain meds wearing a Gorilla shirt........come by and wake me up if needed and introduce yourself. It's time to start meeting some BT folks.....

Well, since the race is held in our neighborhood, Chris and I will be joining in the festivities.  Pre-race dinner at Roma's sounds like a plan.  Plus, if I get sick...I don't have that far to drive home.  (see St. Patrick's Day RR for details).

This race will mark the 1 year anniversary of Chris and I doing Tri's.  We're excited to see how much we've improved.  FYI:  We put down 11 min for the swim (350 mtrs) when we first signed up because we had no clue.  ;-)

lol...nah...after some re-thinking...(i.e. talking with a friend and actually attempting to swim the distance)...we changed our prediction to a stellar 8 mins.  lol.  So, we were fairly far back in line.  FYI:  I think I put down 5:14 for this year.

Can't make it to the pre-race meal, but I'm curious about the course.  Are there a lot of hills on the bike or run?

The run is flat no real hills the bike has about two big hills on it and that's about it - really a good route.

The course is my normal riding route, coming down 423 aka main street right by the small plaza with the CCA {just passed s.colony} be carefull of the road on the right side, it's some bad pavement that can cause pinch flats, the two small hills are right there but you have a downhill to builld up speed. Coming back up morningstar it's always windy, be ready to go to a smaller gear and start spinning.  also by the high school there are a couple of quick 90 degree turns nothing bad but if there are a few people beside you just be carefull if the inside person ends up going wide on the turn.

David B crashed on the one turn last year up by main st and north colony but I don't remember why

Crap.  I just realized they never asked me for a time when they switch my entry.  I need to email them on Monday and tell them 5:15 so I can draft on you.

Yep... the NW corner of the bike course is mine!  I should go out and write my name on it.  That's where I crashed last year and broke my elbow.  (Knew it hurt, but didn't realize it was broken.)  And yes, I did get up and take the AG win.    Still, I can't recommend it as a ongoing strategy.

I'll be out there with the kids cheering Tri Mommy.  I'd love to get even with the course, but it's just too close to IMKY for me to risk it.  (Esp. since I fell in Lubbuck this year too!  I have to start the race in one piece to have a chance at finishing it.)

Gary, Are you racing?  I need to know if I need to bring extra M&M's.  This close to IMKY maybe I should just bring them for spectator fuel.

I'm so racing this baby...!!!!  if you are not racing but spectating just stand outside tranistion to throw them at me and I'll try to catch them.. My goal for this race is to practice IM transitions so my T1 time will be around 10 min. and T2 around 7-8.  I'll have to find some thing to do.. maybe i'll run inside to change

So who is actually in for Dinner at Roma's on Saturday night.  I will make reservations once we get a count (hopefully I will call next Friday).

Please respond back if you will be coming and bring someone.
