Not sure if you are referring to 70.3 or the full.  Actually either way you should be fine.  70.3 filled up earlier than last year, but it still took 1-2 months.  I think you can almost do race day reg for the full.  Good luck in FL!

I didn't sign up for the half until March or April.. not sure which. I'm pretty sure that the full didn't fill up at all last year. So... you're safe.

Phew! I am a bit worried that as it is harder and harder to get into IM's (and that there wil only be One IMAZ next year) that the focus will be on Vineman for the west coast...... if anyone has heard anything different..give me a shout.. ..

Like most independents with no slots, they usually don't sell out, if at all, until very close to race day.  You'll be fine (based on historical signups)

full will not sell out or even get close. IM's are hard to get into, 140.6 non IM are not (except B2B).
Vineman has large price increases though as the race gets closer. something like 275 early to 435 late....big difference

A little tip for everyone about the 70.3 race -- in previous years, they've offered a wait list once the race is officially full.  This year, most of the people who were listed on the wait list were accepted into the race.

Several people in my tri club competed in the Full Vineman this year and really enjoyed it--they were especially impressed with all of aid stations and the volunteers.  Vineman also offers two Aquabike races if you're looking for something a little different -- they do a 2.4 mile swim with 112 mile bike race, and also a 1.2 mile swim and 56 mile bike. The area is a beautiful place for a race, but watch out because it can get a little warm.
