There is obviously something wrong with my running technique.  But I don't know what exactly is causing it, or how to fix it.  So I'm hoping some of you more experienced guys can lend some advice

When I run, regardless of distance or time, the bottom of my feet start to hurt on the bottom right side of my feet.

The bottom outside edge of my right foot, and the bottom inside edge of my left foot.

I have calluses developing in the areas on the ball of my foot, because that's the only part of my foot that hits the ground when I run.

The pain isn't unbearable, it's just annoying.  It doesn't affect my performance or day-to-day activity.
But I'm starting to worry that this problem could give way to a future injury and/or underlying problems.

Any suggestions?
Thanks

The right side of both feet? So it hurts on the inside of your left foot and the outside of your right foot?  Are you wearing 2 left shoes?

you might need a new pair of shoes, or a new brand/model all together.  Are there any running stores in your area that can video tape your stride and sell your a shoe that directly addresses the way you walk?

Is your right leg slightly shorter than your left so you run in circles all the time? Definately time for a shoe check. Also you said the only part of your foot that touches the ground when you run is the ball of your foot, so you run distance like some sprinters I have seen or is it more of a mid foot strike? Still I would say get new shoes after getting your running gait analyzed.

What surface are you running on??  If you are running mostly on a road that has a crown to it, that may explain it.  Definitely time to see a foot specialist for evaluation.

The only thing I could think of that would make that happen is if you run the same route all the time and the road isn't even. I'd try reversing the run and see what results you get.

I'm trying to imagine what could cause that. Are you running in the same direction all the time around a track, or a short looped course? Or, as was mentioned, on a crowned road? Are you stronger or longer on one side and running slightly sideways?
