Subject: Sunday morning (Aug. 23) Ohio Street Beach
There was some interest in meeting some people ahead of the Chicago Tri to make the post-race party less awkward. So I propose:

Swimming at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 23 at Ohio Street Beach for those (and those not) doing Chicago Triathlon.

I'll be the dude standing in the corner on the south side of the bike racks.

I'll wear a bright blue IM KANSAS 70.3 shirt for all to see! And of course two pair of goggles. Duh!

This is a good chance if you're doing the tri to get into the water if you haven't already. The conditions at Ohio Street are very similar to those at the race site right down to the floating diapers and McDonalds bags!

I am trying to work it out, but will most likely need to be done by 10a.  So I will likely get my swim in and be done in time to meet with y'all before your swim.  Is there a web site that declares when the beach is closed?  It's never happened on a day I've gone there, but since I come in from the 'burbs I would hate to get all the way in and find out it's closed!
