Subject: How do you feel when workout is cancelled?
Hello

Today   all set for my early morning swim. Clothes set out, alarm clock set for 5 AM.  Get up, dress, out the front door, walk to the neighborhood pool two blocks away, try my special key for adults early swimming.

Crap the key does not work.  I think  Jump the fence in my flip flops and swim suit?  No need to get my junk hung up on the fence!  Do I go home and change to another work out?  I just say the he-- with it!

Walk home, turn on computer to BT, fill in my comments.

I feel like crap, tired, no energy and I am crabby!

Now I am planning to sneek away from work at lunch to get my workout in. I packed my swim gear.   I can't work out tonight because I have to go out to dinner with my wife's and her high school friend who just happens to be in town this week. Wife and her have not seen each other in 30 years.

So how do you all feel when your work out in cancelled through no fault of your own?

Tire, no energy and crabby for me

Kevin

Well I am kind of ticked because I had an early morning ride planned and my two year old kept me up most of the night crying for no reason. Well he wanted to sleep with mommy and daddy. He does this every now and then.  No energy to get up early. I am over it now but at 2 am this morning I was ticked. I hope I can get it in this afternoon because I have a sprint Saturday.

The way I look at it is, performance on race day is a cumulative total of your training. No one workout will define you (good or bad). I try not to get too excited by a great workout or too bummed by a bad or missed workout. If I have to miss a workout, I take it as a bonus day off. Go out and have a great time with the wife and her friend and don't look back.

At least you don't smell like chlorine today, right?

My son and I were going to ride bikes to take care of some errands and just get out today. It was to be active recovery for me after a hard ride yesterday, but it's raining and looks to rain all day. I'd go out if it was just me, but I'm not going to ask him to ride in the rain. Bummer.

X2. I also think, at least I'll have a good hair day.

Physically, I don't feel bad.  Rest is always good.

However, if I made the effort to get there couldn't do it.  I would be mentally pissed and put off.

I'm pretty darn ticked off if I get up in the morning and I can't workout. Only because it's all I can do to actually get up to workout... and when it's cancelled, I'm mad because I didn't get to sleep more.

If it's the afternoon, I'm OK with it. In fact, sometimes I wish for rain. Yeah.
