Just a note of caution, there has been someone advertizing on Craigslist in the Ontario section that could potentially be a problem to deal with. He has listed two bikes using different emails but the response you get is always the same, along these lines:

I'm in Spain and i left the bike in a Costco warehouse in Quebec.
The price includes shipping and insurance  and you will have 10 days of inspection.
If you want to proceed , reply me your full name and shipping address and i will begin the transaction through Costco.
After that Costco will start the shipping process and will contact you with all the details.

The last time I contacted him the bike was in Red Deer, aside from that the wording was identical.

Please be careful.

Yes, it's a typical scam that's been around for awhile.  Saw it with cars a couple years ago.

I'll find you a bike for cheap. Please send me a description of the type of bike your looking for and a small 500.00 USD payment which will be used for a deposit.

Please send a western union wire transfer to [email protected]

Thank you for your time

Hello and God Bless,

My name is Prince Amko Befussi of Nigeria. I am writing you with a request for help, and I pray it will be beneficial to both of us. My family owned a Cervelo and Trek bicycle factory in Nigeria until the dastardly General Mwebento Mbosso overthrew my benevolant father King Befussi IV.

If you help me extract my fleet of Cervelos and Treks out of Nigeria, I will gladly share 50% of my bicycle stabe with you. You can have up to twenty Cervelo P4 and Trek SpeedConcept 9.9s. Of course I will need you to facilitate this by sending me a small ammount of money through wester union.

Sincerley,

Prince Amko Befussi of Nigeria

Will a ebay representative be overlooking the whole transaction?

The Nigerian ones are downright funny, and sure they seem utterly ridiculous, but if they keep trying them it must mean people keep falling for them.
