Does anyone know the distance between the buoys on Lake Wilcox when you head out from Sunset Beach?

You start out with the Green One, three smaller styrofoam ones and then another Green one.  I know there are ones further out, but I haven't gone that far into the lake yet.

Just trying to judge my OWS distances for training.

Buoys are 250m marks.

Thanks. That works out to telling me that I need to practice my OWS a lot more.

I know.

I knew my OWS time would be worse than my pool times, but it went way off.

At least my bike is reasonable Tongue out

Practice, practice, practice as they say.  At least I was pragmatic and decided that a sprint swim would be too long for this year and I'm going to stick with Try-a-Tri's.

You're using a boat for open water swims? Wink
