Subject: Another NW newbie

Hello, everyone! I've just started training for my first triathlon in mid-July. I've never done anything like this before. I don't even own a bicycle! It's nice to have all this to read--it's very motivating.

Hi Sammie! Welcome to the site! I also did not own a bicycle when I started training, so I started on the stationary bikes at the gym. I got my real bike about a month ago and it's certainly different! I hadn't ridden a bike with any regularity since middle school, I think! ha ha I don't think I will ever gracefully master drinking out of my water bottle while going any faster than about 2 mph.
