Just completed my first 2 triathlons this weekend and just love the racing - the training has been great also - varied. As someone who has focused solely on running in the past i've been amazed at how little running i need to do to outperform my previous running times!!! Magic!!

As i've seen on this board swimming is quite a challenge and its a tough for me also. I still need to decide on a wetsuit - sleeveless or full??? Any ideas?

err, does this mean you did two tri's in one weekend? That's quite a feat! I'm aching from the 2/3 race (relay) I did yesterday!

I have a sleeveless wetsuit and it has worked just fine for me so far (in 61 and 67 degree water), so that gets my vote. I tend to be one that overheats quickly though, so I think it's something that varies considerably from person to person.

Welcome!  2 tri's in one weekend?  Yikes

Wetsuits......depends on the temp of the water you'll be swimming in.  Full suit if you live in a northern area with cold water!

Good luck!

I was more about taking advantage of the wife being away for the weekend with the kids.

In the swim i would say i floated for a long time and let the currents take me in the right direction!!! I took it easy on both the bike and runs making sure i was in full control and risking no chance of injury - i've got a more important event in a couple of weeks.

BTW - i did a 100min bike ride in between each race!
