I love hockey but I think the Canucks should bring back the brown, orange and yellow sweaters.

What about the green, blue and white sweaters?

The orange/yellow/red/brown sweaters were a problem for me. Who could draw that freaken logo?

Madcow, the logo is still on the sleeve.

Leave it to a hockey thread to bring out all the Canadians/Canadiens.

Since we are on the hockey talk. I find it ironic the a team from Tampa, Fl has the stanley cup. It is a northern sport played by northerners and watched by northerners. So what is it doing in my town. Not to bad mouth Hockey but I just don't enjoy it, probobly because I didn't grow up on it.

Hey there, Bertuzzi

Any broken necks this year?

Yes, you're an asshole.

rbschlesinger,

You have a good point. The hockey we've seen in the last few (quite a few) years has become much more boring because of the style of play and all the hooking which is tolerated. When the sport is properly played, its beautiful to watch. Also, in Canada, we grew up with it. Especially in Montreal, its almost a religion and people go a little crazy. Every year, we expect to win the Stanley Cup, although we have average teams. Media coverage is huge, and tend to go overboard, BUT WE LOVE IT THAT WAY. The Canadiens are up there in the traditions with the Yankees and Manchester United. So we still believe that we SHOULD win every year! Hey, I didn't say it makes sense, but that how it is.

To clarify, I am not against hockey or don't like it, I am just not used to it. But I didn't really understand the Bucs when I started going (in my defense I was only 5). BUt hopefully I will learn to enjoy it as I have bought a half-season tickets package this year.

It is half-season tickets. And I figured I would give it a chance. See what you canadians are talking about. Plus I can always give tickets to clients if I can't go. Also I live within a mile or two from the stadium so I can walk to the games.
