Subject: Shameless bragging : to run with Joan Benoit Samuelson

My Father-in-law was at a "thing" in Chicago last week, he has dinner with a bunch of famous athletes and is talking with Joan Benoit Samuelson.  Turns out she is going to be in our area later this summer and they are both runners, are going to get together for a run.  My f-i-l, now my hero, mentions that I'm a big runner and would love to join them - so I'll be doing a run later this summer with Ms. Benoit Samuelson.

Oh, this "thing" was the awards ceremony for inductees into the Olympics Hallf of Fame.

It was held in Chicago on Friday.  My F-I-L was a guest to introduce one of the inductees.  Apparently my M-I-L, being an ice skating fanatic, was in Heaven spending a great deal of time talking with Mr. Dick Buttons.
