Subject: To wear or not To wear (Wet Suit) PLEASE HELP

1. Water temp is reading dead on 78* right now. I doubt it will change much before race day.

2. I have access to a ( thin) dive wet suit that fits.

If it will be legal  to wear the suit Should I wear it? Or will I (A.) Look like a total geek wearing a Dive suit to a Tri event

(B.) Realize that the benefit of wearing a scuba wetsuit at a sprint will be outweighed by the hassle of trying to remove it at T-1

No wetsuit, dive, surf wetsuits won't help. On a sprint it will take longer in T1 than you would save even with a tri wetsuit

Thanx. This is one reason I love this place!!!! ( BTW current H20 watre temp at Panama City Beach,79*. This may be a non issue after all.)

After having done a sprint in 74 degree water in full wetsuit, I am now of the opinion that I'm not going to wear one if the water is above about 70. I'm a good swimmer and that's just not that cold.

I agree, 79 degrees + salt water + Sprint Distance + Dive suit = nope
