Total Time = 1h 23m 23s
Overall Rank = 1657/6697
Age Group = 30-34
Age Group Rank = 34/389
Pre-race routine:

drove to the race
Event warmup:

walked to and from packet pick up and stood in the porta john line with G8RSAX for an eternity
Run
  • 1h 23m 23s
  • 10 miles
  • 08m 20s  min/mile
Comments:

pretty tough course for me as i do not have many hills to train on.
What would you do differently?:

i would've started a bit slower, an speed up toward the end, instead i did it backwards and it's all rkreuser's fault:)
Post race
Warm down:

walked around, tried to dry off. did a pull up and a hang contest at the marine recruiting booth, broke the records for both, (some girl beat my hang record afterwards:() also did a few single arm pullups for the marines-HOO-RAHHHHHH:)

What limited your ability to perform faster:

bad race planning, and the hard bike ride two days previous, but i didn't plan to run this race hard, it was a training run for me. maybe next year i will race it, i think i may be able to break into the top 10 for my age group.

Event comments:

one of the best organized races around, especially for the size. great activities for the kids, too.

Trixie, you are an amazing athlete.  I think its awesome that after finishing a challenging 10 miler, you're rockin' some PT with the Marine Corp.  Semper Fidelis.
