Subject: hey - New at this, just saying hi. telling my story :) Hey everyone, just introducing myself telling you a little about me. Im female, 20 - from Australia. I used to do kiddy triathlongs about 5-10 years ago and have always grown up with the dream of becomming a triathlete. I also used to do surf life saving, but since the last 5 years or so ive lost the motivation i guess? - well the motivation is there but soemthing went wrong. no way near as fit as i used to be, perhaps its because of all the study im doing at the momment?
but especially last year i put on alot of weight, - im not to sure how i did it, but i happend. but since Jan this year ive stared up at gym again and lost lots- about 20 kgs. which is a fair effot. and im starting to establish goals for my traning now. - One day i aspire to be one of the best.
its hard to just keep that motivation going. it only just dawned on me recently.. thgouth out life i sort of had this attitude of ' everything will be ok ill do it later' - later beeing next day - which turns into next week - which turns into a year and so forth. - but the thing is.. im 20 years old and the goals ive set for myself i havent achieved - and basically you have to think that what if something happend tommorow - where would you be? what have you achieved for yourself? So now im living one day at a time - and trying to do the things i want to do one day at a time instead of pushing them into the future where they keep going. there are no 2nd chances in your life? this is the only one you have so best make the best of it while you can one day at a time. I think if i keep this attitude in my mind - as well as some suport from others which i think is essential ( thats why i think this orginasation forum is great guys! ) then i do believe i can stay on track and achieve my dream.
