Subject: Newbie here!

I just wanted to say hi. I was supposed to have done my first tri yesterday, but it was canceled due to a microbial contamination in the lake. So here I am, faced with another month of training till I can do another triathlon. Ugh. I'm not gonna lie, though--I love training!

Haha ... I think the microbes are part of a grand plan to derail my triathlon dreams; I got hit by a car on my bike before my first attempt at a debut last summer. Third time's a charm?

Thanks! It took me a couple months to fully recover, but it wasn't bad. Just a sprained ankle and some bruises. Thank God for helmets! It took me about 9 months to get back on the roads, however! I was pretty shaken. But all is well now! I think almost every cyclist in this town has had a similar experience. :-(
