We have a portable DVD player we hang over the headrest of the front passenger seat so the kids can watch videos on longer car trips.  Now that my daughter is bigger we have seperated their seats and there is no way to hang it in the middle so they both can easily see the screen.  The player has an AV out so I thought an inexpensive, easy way to handle this would be to get a second stand alone screen I could run a cable to and hang that over the other front seat.  But I cannot seem to find this anywhere.  I see plenty of players which come with 2 screens, but I cannot seem to find just a screen to purchase.  A friend of mine said circuit city or someplace like that would have them and called it a "buddy screen" but I cannot find one anywhere.  Anyone have any info or suggestions?  Thanks in advance!

p.s. keep comments like "when I was kid we'd play I Spy and didn't need no new fangled DVD players on long car trips!" to yourselves!  ;-)

In my day we played race cars in the back seat with the seat belts (which, come to think of it, were never actually on any of us kids....)

Couldn't resist.  I have a good friend with 4 kids, they use something like this:

 http://www.portabledvdstore.com/suthextmne.html

and it hangs the DVD player between both seats so everyone in the back seat can see the screen.  She's driving a Ford mini-van, so not sure how it will work in whatever you're driving.  Looks like the retail on it is $40, so might even be cheaper than trying to buy a 2nd screen.

If that doesn't work, there's always the license plate game... Cool

Here's a monitor at Target for $110.

But there's also a whole system with two monitors for $149.

Yeah...that's what I keep seeing.  Unless I can find a stand alone monitor for like $50 I'll most likely get a new system entirely.

Forget the video. Entertain them with stories of all the hard training you do? I Guess 15 mins. wouldn't go very far on those long road trips huh?

Go back to TNO, wise guy.  ;-)

I ended up ordering an entire new portable system with 2 screens this morning.  Didnot cost that much at all.  :-)

I was going to suggest 2 separate portable devices.
