thats really tough for you taperers. having said that, i had my best feeling workout in ages the next day. keep that in mind. the taper pays off.

I could be wrong and there is a few coaches that troll the forum, but two weeks to fully adapt to whatever stress you put on the body.  So, hard workouts will more than likely not translate into better times now.  I made the mistake a few times, so I speak from experience.   Trust the tapper!

Got friday off and skipped some swimming this week to help end this cold...Now a long run tomorrow and in real taper...Must say my workout today after a day off was pretty awesome...Just praying the health gets better and stays that way!

yea, I had a brick today, short, sweet, slightly faster than HIM pace. I kept a picture of Teh Cube taped to my aerobars...

I'm in taper now, too...i feel like I could run a marathon at a 6 min/mi pace!!! HAHA...

My day off will prob be Thursday, with light volume/high intensity sandwiching it...

Then, come Sunday, afterburners will be turned on HIGH

i hate tapering.  unfortch, i'm forced into it this time since my old sfx has flared up like an evil evil beast...hoping it doesn't hurt to run by next sunday...:-/

Trust the taper
Believe the taper
Do NOT blow the taper

You will have great and bad workouts during taper.  That's just par for the course.  Don't overshoot your zones after a bad workout either.  See rule #3.  :P
