We went to a friend's art showing last night and I had several glasses of wine.  Then, we went to someone's house, and I had a couple more glasses of wine. Then, some one had the great idea to go to the local Kareoke bar, where I purchased 2 vodka-crans (aka: headache in a cup), but somehow drank somewhere between 3 and 5 total (I think people in my group were giving me their drinks).

I remember coming home (Eric was the DD).  I remember drinking lots of water (thank goodness).  And then I remember waking up this afternoon feeling like warmed-over crap.  Oh, yeah... that's why I don't drink when we go out.  It's been a year since I did that, and now I remember why.

When gravity finally settles down, I'll be OK.

Where I usually get into trouble is when people are refilling my wine glass before it's empty. Then I can't keep track of how much I've had to drink...

The next morning, I will lay there and try to remember...."Did I do anything to embarass myself??? Weeelll, is dancing on the table considered embarassing?..." ha

Bottom line, did you have fun?

Then I think you're allowed to "misbehave" now and then! Now get back out there and train! ha!

What is it about that fuzzy line that is so easily crossed?  There's a point when I'm drinking that I know how much I've had and when to stop.  But sometimes something unusual will happen and I kinda jump over the line, and then I'm lost -- I no longer have the ability to stop or reason with myself and will continue to consume more drinks.  I just thank heavens there was no Tequila involved.  Just vodka that comes in a plastic bottle (almost as bad).

Yes, I DID have fun.  My boyfriend swears I didn't do anything embarrassing.  Funny thing, one of the couples we were with live in the same condo complex as us.  So, I really do hope I didn't do anything totally stupid.

And, yes, tomorrow is "back on track" day for me.  I had my week off after my last race, and now it's back to training for the next race.

You mean going to the ball game this weekend, followed by the bar and on the way home seeing a Karoke Stage for Jessica Simpson tickets and gettitng your group of 6 up on stage to belt out the latest and coolest version of ICE ICE BABY while you dance and take your shirt off constitutes too much? Then I had too much this weekend also.

But it was so much fun. Did I mention that I was blessed with rarely if ever getting a hangover? So I went back to the game on Saturday and had some more fun.

Not to hijack the thread or anything, but my friend Katie is totally my hero. She's one of my TNT runners who completed her first half-marathon with the program in Nashville in April. She bartends, and works every Friday night until 3am. And not only that, she's very fond of the Irish car bomb. But she never missed a Saturday morning run. That girl is the definition of trooper...
