She turns 50 so I'm looking for loving brother type gift.

So, I've found blue hair dye but I want something a bit more subtle
Anyone know of a hair dye/treatment that will OBVIOUSLY turn your hair blue. Yeah, I know she'll never use it but she will get a kick out of it.

It is called a blue rinse - I could not find any samples on the web, but I did not look too hard either.

You could "rent" a couple of boy scouts to help her across the street and ask her what things were like "in the olden days."

My mom's friends put signs, balloons and other awesome lawn jockeys all over her front lawn announcing her 50th birthday. It was pretty awesome.

When my dad turned 40, he was my K-8 principal and she sent him a guy in a gorilla suit that danced with him in front of the entire school. Public embarrassment at its finest.

I liked that Boy Scouts idea mentioned earlier.  Funny stuff.

Perhaps a wrapped-up package of Depends?  Jars of prunes...a bag of Werthers Originals...giant granny panties?  Just throwin' ideas out there.

Oh, I like all those!

For the moment, I'm working on the hair angle. She's dark blonde (really, really light brown? Whatever) and I figure it's time for her to give up and be a blue haired little ol' lady

Manic Panic will work...and then you can make up a nice tagline about panicking about her age and having to worry about hair rinse, etc.

How about the `Murder She Wrote' box set? I bet you could find that for cheap on ebay or something.

The Boy Scout idea is hilarious.

B/c everyone knows when you're old you get dinner in before Matlock comes on. And when it's over, you go to bed.
