Has anyone hooked up as a result of this website? I want to hear your stories. If not, all single women should contact me so I'll have an answer to my post...

At least we all know we have one thing in common and I don't mean spending too much time at work playing on the computer and talking to people we've never met about a sport that causes us pain and suffering and joy all at the same time...wait, that sounds like dating...just kidding.

P.S. - No, I'm not desperate...

Let's see...1...2...3...4...yes, I think that's it. So far I got to hug 4 female triathletes that I've met on this site. At my age, I consider that to be almost a date!

Adventuress,

Are you flirting with me?? If so, then I have my first reply to my question! Just kidding.

We should seriously think about a singles network...if nothing else, it would be a great place to make new friends and have contacts in cities/states we may visit at some point. Anyone else interested??

And ladies, keep on responding...

Sounds like a great idea to me. I think you've just volunteered to set it up.

-"I think you've just volunteered to set it up."

Somehow I saw that post coming...maybe there should be a section under the "General Discussion" forums heading? Something like a "singles corner" or "vacancies" listing. Or, we could just start a thread where you can talk about yourself, what you want, etc. and see if anyone else is interested or located near you.

At any rate, count me in.

Vacancies???

(You're hilarious!)

My narrative would go a little something like this:

"NY Metro tri gal seeks partner-in-crime who loves action adventure flix, tri gear, adventure sports and travel, and a good cup of hot cocoa."

Ok, here's my attempt at a narrative:

"Small town NC guy seeks fun-loving gal for good conversation, artsy movies, weekend trips to random places, listening to live music at local venues, and, of course, indoor and outdoor sports of all types (anything to get the HR going!). Physical appearance? Glad you asked...my mother says I'm quite a looker."

Ok, that's not exactly a serious one but I'm not very serious about being serious. Seriously.

Yellowk8t,

Another single??? BTW, do you know anything about the Virginia Beach duathlon in April? I'm thinking of making that my first event of the season...

P.S. - Some of my family hails from Chesapeake.

April Duathlon...not sure. We have the Breezy Pt Tri in June (I think) and the Sandman Tri in Sept. I'll get back to you on the April one.

So...do you like my pic? hehehehe

CRAP! I'm leaving my husband. Just give me a minute to pack....

Fear not! I'm staying put. My husband is quite the catch, too!

Hey Ron: I know you're reading this thread (lol)

How about another "area" for threads for singles. I bet the "stickyness" of the BT website would shoot up dramatically.

That pic reminds me of a wedding I went to recently...open bar...otherwise I usually can't smile so wide.

Ok all you shy singles out there, drop us a line or we might get lonely...wait, we're all single

Well, I guess getting picked up online can NOT be any worse than getting picked up while I am trying to get some work done (ok, not work, just reading the BT forum, but still, I look busy) which is what happened to me today!
