Subject: GROUP RIDE MT BAKER?

May 11 or 18(my next 2 sundays off)

Ride to Baker....Make it 100 Miles.

Rain or snow.....Somebody needs to Sag....please....

Any Takers?

We should leave in the morning of course. And Leave from....Mission? or Chilliwack?

Don't think we will make it to the top with the road conditions but we could always try.

For info, its 4400 feet or so of climbing from the Sumas boarder, 83miles to the top so if we leave from about 15 Miles away, we should easily get the 100 Miles in.

WHOS IN!!!!

Will somebody let JENG know about this please.

This should give everybody enough time to train and to figure out if they are good to go.

Also, if we have a sag vehicle, they could have a rack on if somebody only wants to say do 45 miles or just the Mountain...I guess.

OK Dan.  You might actually be crazy.  Or I could be crazy for thinking it sounds fun. Scary but fun.

Look at this guy, well on the way to making the next longest BC thread! 4 of the 6 posts are of Dan! I'll have to see what my schedule looks like count me in 50/50 for now, plus I have Jen's toque. Oops.

## EDIT## I just talked to Kari. Last year Kari played baseball on our 5th year anniversary.  This year she has conceded that she could operate the SAG wagon IF she was compensated (ie wine, caesars, etc...) so unless work gets in the way we could be up for that. Count me in 25/75 now...

...at least it's not her bra or 'something'.....then I'd really 'wonder'....

there was a Seinfeld episode like this you know....Georger purposely left 'things' at his 'wannabe' girlfriends place to always have an excuse to see her again! hmmmmm.....

(JK of course ;-p )

as for the ride.....now if we were driving to the top and riding the 100 miles down....then it would be a no brainer....the way it's planned.....I dunno?????

Not May 11th, that's Cultus Lake Tri...and Mother's Day.

May 18th is a possibility though.

you're gonna have to think of a better nickname/screename for me.  I checked.. Crazylegs is taken.

and I am pretty sure i'm in for either the 11 or the 18 but we can't let J miss out on another "epic" standing, sitting, laying down "ride".

You know, I think this could be a lot of fun (at least it could be if I hit the bike sometime soon)...although, I'm really not sure I could do it on my double chainring.  Maybe I'll have to buy that carbon fibre bike that Costco has and then decide it's not good enough and return it on May 19.  Or something.

Baker's...steep.  I'm not sure I could do 100 miles on flat, much less up Baker.

The other question is how do we get home?  The wagon could only fit so many.  Besides, wouldn't the ride down be much more fun?

You guys make me feel lazy

Mike - maybe you could shuttle up with Kari, ride down with us??

Oh that hurts, mostly because it's true...the only way I can keep up is if you guys have already ridden up to the top!

OK Genius, 15 + 83 = 98.  One Way.  Or are you not counting the back because it's downhill?

Well, thanks....I think....but its 15 to abby...42.5 to the top and 42.5 bacn and 15 to abby thats about 113 if my brain is right. So I don't think we will make it all the way to the top because of road conditions....hence the extra 13 miles.....hope that makes sense cause my brain is sore from all the addition I just had to do.....where's my helmet

I'd love to come. The 11th would be good for me. I'm racing on the 10th, but I should be fine for the 11th, I hope.

The 18th is the long weekend and I'll be in Mt. Hood.

So how about the 11th?
