I talk to myself in plenty of forums!

Why am I awake and out of bed when I could have slept until 6:30, you ask??  Small human beings that live in my house and a boy toy that's out of town (he handles all things related to middle of the night issues).

*sigh*

Nah, it was one of those things where I was completely awake (my son had a bad nose bleed, had to change sheets, he needed to shower and, as it turns out, he and my daughter were having a sleepover in his room since she didn't put her laundry away and her bed was full of laundry... ) so, uhhh, we were dealing with a host of issues that involved two showers, alternate sleeping arrangements and me channeling my mother as I explained to her what I thought about her failure to put away said laundry!!

I have to get them up in 40 minutes anyway so I just made coffee and am catching up on some things.  It's actually really nice and peaceful.  I'd be fine if I hadn't chosen to stay up past my bedtime last night!!

I hate drama first thing in the morning...Kids usually ride to school with a friend whose mother drives them. They weren't ready when the friend  came by...Yeah, they missed the bus too and I had to throw on clothes and run them to school listening to my older one whine about it being her third tardy and she'll be in after school detention tomorrow for it...Younger one making comments too...drama I tell you, pure drama... And all this with hardly any coffee in my blood yet!

At least I had coffee before I had to wake them up... again...

When my kids first went to school I was bound and determined to send them off on a happy note every day... I wanted to start their days smiling and relaxed.  I try, but they sure do make it tough sometimes...

I had the coffee with me, problem was this patch of frost on the windshield right at eye level that I didn't clear off so I couldn't drink the coffee while looking around that patch of frost.  Had to jump out at the school to wipe that stuff off so I could have coffee on my ride home.  Must have looked a wreck, sweats (thankfully I changed out of the pj's) that are short, uncombed hair all over the place, glasses cause I haven't put in the contact lenses yet...A sight to see, I'm sure my kids were dying of embarrassment thinking "she's in public at MY school looking like hat and got out of the car?  I have to be seen with her looking like that?!" (especially from the younger one who is ALL about style network and all those shows...)

Morning, Nibbs!

Morning, Judi!

LOL about your morning...serves the kids right if they suffer any drama from you driving them...(yeah, I'm going to be a real sympathetic mother of teenagers...I can tell).

Spring Break here, but I have to get a lot done this week, so no vacation for me.

Birthday party for Elder Monkey went better than expected. (I'm not the party type of mom, y'know.)

Have a good day, all! I'll try to pop in later on a "study break"!

I was ofered the job with the insurance company!

Offer is okay but not fabulous money--however there are NO weekends, holidays, mandatory stupid meetings, on call or drunken jerks in this picture so it's well worth it!

Well, like we tell our kids...life lesson...detention is good for them ...when our kids miss the bus (and it's THEIR fault), my DW takes her sweet time driving them to school...drives the kids crazy...it's great...they're usually on time for the bus for several weeks after...

Judi, congrats on the new job!!!

Yay!!!!! I think that makes up for the lack of monetary compensation.
