That is awesome! that is a good looking list for a first year!  Good luck on the Sun Run and your swim lessons, swimming sucks!  This sport is a riot and you're sure to have fun, hope to see you out at a few events!

thanks Hazmaster - I am really excited about all of this!

DrLeah - I will most likely be registering for the Divas only in July - but haven't yet - I see no reason why i won't be able to do that one though.

to all the 'Oliver' Participants.....where are you guys staying? I am finding lodging choices to be quite limited in Oliver. I am going up with my husband and four kids and making a mini-vacation out of it....I have stayed at the Lakeside resort several years ago and they had a large suite - but it is not available anymore....I am thinking we have to stay somewhere in Osoyoos though.....maybe the Best Western or something like that.

DrLeah - 2008-02-12 10:50 AM

It's looking like there will be a number of us at Langley on Sunday - we'll have to plan to meet up (after!!) and have a coffee/snack or something!

If you don't mind waiting for me to catch up to you all, I can find some time before picking my son up from my parents.

They're doing the Crescent Beach on a monday? Is it a holiday monday??

I was wondering the same thing.  Now that I look it up, it's BC day.  First Monday in August.

We're having a big pre-race party at Lakeside camp site #7!!  I don't know who's staying there but you can count on Jello-shooters and Vodka watermellons along with loud music and streakin' and skinny dipping!!  My wife and I are going up on Thursday, wine tours, golf and some course mapping, I think a BT get together is a great idea, fo' sho'!

Nice!! Although, I think a pre-race party like that sounds a little too much!! And we should get this all straight, there's 2 June races in Oliver:
June 1st - Oliver HIM
June 15th - Oliver Sprint

I'm in for the HIM.

Jill - I'm going to be staying at a B&B. Oliver is a little limited in it's accommodations.
