I may be going out with a friend, or just staying in at her house. Or, I may just end up at home. It's all up in the air right now...

Do a trainer/run brick. Then try to figure out what the @#%@$#% is going on with my G3 Beige that it isn't mounting CD's even though the devices show in system profile.

Hubby is sick with a sinus infection (I'm not so healthy myself) so we are either going to 1. go to a friends house for Thai food or 2. go to a movie with other friends or 3. sit on the couch and make fun of New Years TV.

Well, the clock just ticked over to midnight here in Tokyo...so Happy New Year!!!!

My girlfriend and I stayed home, not so much by choice as there was about 5-10cm of snow today here in Tokyo followed by rain!!  Not exactly great weather for going out.

Anyway, heading to a shrine tomorrow for a traditional Japanese new year.  Hopefully the weather will have picked up by then.

I have very simple plans.  My wife (Agnes) and I will have a nice candle lit dinner together.  Then we will be watching "La Traviata" on tv; I got the CD for Christmas.  And at midnight, we will pop open a bottle of Proseco, Italian bubbly, and toast in the New Year together!

We may take the clan into Boston for First Night celebration.   Ice sculptures, parade, fireworks, dance and music performances, magicians.....  They have "early" fireworks at 7 p.m. for folks like us with small kids so we can get them home and into bed, then pop the bubbly at midnight with hubby.

Or, we may have two families over for festivities....

I am taking my wife to see The Lion King (the Broadway play not the movie), then a nice dinner, watching the fireworks over the Seattle waterfront, and finally a nice Downtown hotel room with no baby! I wont say much about the rest of the night, but I'm sure you can figure that out!

stay home with the kids and hubby. Most likely go to bed early and get woken up and annoyed at my dog howling and barking at all the fireworks. Gosh I sound so old, but havent reached 40 yet, thats not old anyway! There is a fun run tomorrow morning near here and they have lots of cute shops and things, no organized run(no shirts, age group, entry fee) people just get together at a time and someone yells out GO and off they go for 5k. New Years thing I guess, so maybe I`ll go do that for a laugh.

Swim 3,500m followed by a 50min. zone 1 run.

After that, going out to dinner with my SO and some friends, then going back to celebrate NYE at home.

Tomorrow is a rest day.

Pigpen gets my vote for the best plan! Have a great time!

We are going to make some dinner here and then go down to watch fireworks on the 16th Street Mall in Denver.

on the bike trainer this afternoon to justify....

the nice dinner plans I have with some friends up in Healdsburg.....of which I'm the DD because....

I'll be up at dark thirty to do the "1st annual 'Yeah, I'm not hungover!' New Years Day 10k." The route isn't too tough...it's right outside my front door....and I'm guaranteed to place first! and second...and third.......but...

it's a great way to ring in the new year and justifies....

hanging out with other friends new years day, eating spinach dip, playing games and having a couple beers....

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

He's still alive, but not kicking enough to do his gig tonight.  For the first time in 30 years, someone else will be filling in for him.

I am heading over for a swim now and then I am working a beat downtown tonight so I will get some walking in.  If you are celebrating in Downtown Seattle tonight, have fun, be kind to your police officers--especially this one :-) ... and have (or be) a designated driver!  Cheers.
