Saunier Duval Team Thread

Hi everyone.  My name is Dan and I live in Sendai, Japan.   My goal for the Tour is 15 stages and 15 hours of riding.    I did a little over 15 hours last month so as long as my knees hold out, I should be able to make it.   I haven't really invested in a good bike yet.  I'm currently riding a cross bike that has only 6 gears.

I took a quick shot at putting together an HTML page for the team.  Feel free to re-use and edit as you like.

Good morning and Happy 4th of July to those that celebrate it    My name is Chris.  I am a Mom/Grandmom and Triathlete.  I live in OH, South of Columbus, and East of Cincinnati.

I tend to stick to longer races...it suits my slowness. I have and OLy distance and 2, 1/2 Irons coming up so that means lots of time on my bike. I look forward to helping the team win this challenge and I know you all will just kick butt.  Well that is it from me. Looking foreward to it.

Just a reminder that when talking about events in the actual Tour De France there is a 24 hour ban on posting about recent action from the French roads in either your own team thread or other teams. This is because a lot of people have to work while the live coverage is on which means they do not get the chance to catch up on what is happening in the roads of France until later in the day.

Otherwise Im usually hanging out in beginner chat whenever I have live stage coverage as well... and always happy to chat Tour with ANYONE and EVERYONE!

Bonjour!  I am sitting in a cafe in Plumelec working on my second bottle of wine.  Stage 1 complete.   Of course I have a slight time differential advantage.   Pedal hard if you are riding today.   Stop by when you're finished....if I'm sleeping, help yourself to the remaining wine....

Very nice, I will take some of that wine later.  Between today and tomorrow I have

60 minute ride (15 minute warm up, 30 minute all out race speed, 15 minute cool down)

20 minute run (brick with above ride)

50 Minute swim

75 Minute Z1/Z2 ride

50 Minute Z1/Z2 run

Well I have gotten my 1st stage done for the day. So I can have some of that wine now but not too much I have to race tomorrow. Thanks for all the well wishes. Tnickerson and I will make the team proud tomorrow. Well off to shower and find that wine.

Hello Team!

My name is Faeron and I live in Los Angeles.  My goal is 9 stages 540 minutes, just finished my first stage today for 144 minutes so I'm on my way!  I'm riding a 20 year old Dave Scott centurion, it's old but it gets me around .  

I have a vacation coming up in the middle of the tour but I'm looking into renting a bike there and getting some rides in, if not I'll make it up when I get back .  I'm on a bike focused plan so I'm excited to get some extra bike time in, it's definitely something I'd like to improve.  Happy riding to everyone over the next 23 days!

Greetings from Saint Breiuc amigos (Saunier Duval is a Spanish team).   I woke up about 5:30 this morning.   There were 5 empty wine bottles on the table.  Unfortunately, the waiter was still there waiting to settle the tab.    I'm guessing it was Chris and Tony who polished off 3.5 bottles after I fell asleep.  

Anyway, after paying the bill I got on my bike and headed off to Saint Breiuc.  Stage 2 complete.   I think I'll call it an early night tonight and stay away from the wine (wishful thinking).  

Good luck to today's racers (TdF and elsewhere....look forward to hearing about your results).

Hey Tony,  I nominate you as the official team captain.  I mean, really all it means is that you update the spreadsheet and motivate people.   You said you don't mind the spreadsheet and you're already motivating people.

Do I have a second to the motion?

Do I get a tiara, or at least a sash?

How'd the Tri go?

I don't mind updating just make sure people post here when they ride, I can go to the logs and grab the info.

We have one person that doesn't have a goal listed, I think it is mmakaryk, so we need a stage and time/distance total.

I'll second that nomination!! And I don't know about the sash but maybe we can find you a nice tiara   And by the way I only drank some of the wine and it was good too. I think Tam helped some.  Do you want us to post our rides here so you can update them ???

I'm Michael from Buffalo, New York and I'm sorry for missing the fun until today but a holiday camping trip got in the way.  After completing my first sprint triathlon in over 20 years last week I was anxious to get back at it.  What a fun way to jumpstart some training.  My goal is 10 stages for 450 minutes.  I hit the road this afternoon for 53 minutes and 14 miles.  Short and sweet but after 3 days of camping you know how it is.

I'm riding a Trek Equinox 5.5 that I got about 3 months ago
