Subject: my head itches
Any advise on helmet itch?  I have a shaved head and about 10 minutes after I start sweating, my head starts itching really bad.  It only happens when I wear my bike helmet.  Does anyone else have this problem and is there anything that can be done to stop it?

I have the same problem.  I use a skull cap that is made of wicking material and has a sweat band.  That has helped a lot.  Otherwise I've really just become accustomed to it.

Bite your lip so hard that the pain makes you focus less on the itch.

scratch the itch? 

I have the problem at times as well.  Usually at the beginning of the my ride.  I itch a few times then start to hammer so that the pain from my legs and chest is greater than the annoyance of the itch from scalp!
