Subject: 8-19-08: No daily thread yet?
Here we are 3:30PM EDT and no daily yet?

I ran 5 miles on lunch break today. Tried to toss in some speed intervals, but after 3x100, wasn't up to it and simply finished my miles in today's hot / humid weather.

What did everyone else accomplish today?

i don't think there was one yesterday either

 

full body strength workout this morning

21 min run - speed work tonight

and a trip to the bike store which may mean clipless pedals and riding around learning how to use them

50 minutes in the trainer and then an easy 2 miles run...first one since my accident with my ankle...Yes!!!

Fay is gone from us in the east coast...but...still we have the effects...the bands of heavy rains and gusty winds...

500 yards in OWS this morning, i get 100 yrd better every swim, really nailed the breathing today, i coulda swam another 500. Push and sit ups tonight.

Brick in the rain this am.

12 mi ride followed by 3 mi run.

got completely soaked but it was great. 

easy pace...trying to remind leg muscles who's boss...

soooo tired..... after a 10 mile tempo run on sat.. 50 mile bike and 1500m in the pool on sun .. and a brisk 4 miler yesterday ... i am going to bed..

For Tuesday, 19 Aug 2008,

Lifted weights about 30 - 40 minutes: Lats, Shoulders, Traps, Back.

Ran (slow jog actually) 4.3 miles.  That's 16 laps on the track behind the YMCA, ran 13 at my normal pace, last 3 laps I sprinted (at least for me) down the long stretches and ran at slow normal pace durin the short stretches.

Went back inside for a 30 minute cardio session on Eliptical.
