Hello fellow post padders!  What are your goals for the month?

Mine are:
-Swim - 4 hours
-Bike - 6 hours
-Run - 100 miles
-Strength/Core - 10 sessions

I'm getting ready for my first marathon at the end of October, doing an Olympic triathlon on 9/7, and the swim of an Olympic relay on 9/14.

Hopefully this month is fun and chatty.

I don't remember my goals...they're in the spreadsheet.

I have my first Oly at the beginning of September and then nothing until my half-mary in November, so I'm looking forward to lots of post-padding.

Hi! I'm Niki. My goals are

10,000 yards swimming

12 hours biking

25 miles running

I'm doing three sprint tri's in September: on the 7th, 14th & 28th. These are my first tri's ever! And I couldn't be more excited. I do a practice tri (to work on transitions and getting used to open water swims) every Saturday morning out on Cape Cod. I can't get enough of it! My ultimate goal is to do an olympic tri next summer and a half-iron(wo)man the summer after that...and do them well. I'd like to say I aim to finish, but the truth is I aim to finish well.

GO TEAM!

Yes, I have your goals in the spreadsheet. They'll be included when I set up the Team Spreadsheets next week.

I don't think we're post padding enough.  Team Chatty is ahead, although I'm not really sure who should have more posts.

So this is going to be another month where the "Secondary Challenge" is the Team Post Count?

Or is that the Primary Challenge?

I'm steve, have not signed up to do a tri yet.  Working thru the couch to sprint (22 week) program. So I am looking to do my first just after the new year.

Decided this is the way to go, since the Dr said I needed to lose weight, and I get bored just running.

I'm Amy, and I am still deciding on my goals. I'll know very soon though. I normally figure out goals at the very end of the month.

Post padding. That is a cute name! Who thinks up all these names?

Dee (D001) came up with the September 4 is more challenge names.  Apparently, some of us are post padders or something.

Welcome!  I used the couch to 5k run program when I first started.  They are great training plans.

I think it's kind of always a side bet with the Nibbs people.  Sometimes it's more important than the real challenge.

This month, I came up with names to fit, um, the "personalities" of the teams.

Based upon the current post count in this thread already, I think I've done a decent job of it. The Challenge doesn't even START for another week.

Is Sal doing the challenge this month?  It would have been a perfect opportunity for "Team Cheesecake".

Hi everybody, go team!!

First of all, this is the cutest thing I have ever seen! Is that your dog?

I'm Kristin, I will set my goals this week. I am two weeks post-bike-crash and recovering from a broken shoulder so I have to figure out what realistic goals will be. But I need goals for sure, I have the NYC Marathon on Nov. 2 and I'm doing the Army 10-miler Oct. 5 and Marine Corps 10k Oct. 26 as well. I am trying to fit in another half-mary along the way. I am most likely done with tris for the season, but am holding out hope for a sprint I'm registered for on 9/28 or worse case scenario, there is a sprint locally on 10/12. I just have to see how the shoulder heals!

Looking forward to the post padding, although you guys make me feel like a slacker already!

The Team Post Padding Spreadsheet is now available:
http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=pfYL7DR_dx-DrOlPt8Sm2Tw

I've listed this on the first post in your team thread also, so that it won't get lost with all the POST PADDING that is going on around here.

Enjoy your post padding activities!
