Anyone in?

I can't believe this hasn't been posted yet!!!

I was lucky enough to get picked up on a team (Los Cinco Locos) thanks to Runnergirlwiththebutterflything, but I was wondering if there was going to be any other BTers out there.  Apparently my team will be sporting sombreros and fake moustaches...

I'll be out there w/my husband, we also got nabbed by a team with injured runners.  I think we're something less "festive" ....Team Attack?  I know Ranger Dave will be there too.  Par-tay!

Please make sure you get photos of said sombreros and moustacheos.  It would be an instant classic.

What a great event. I've done it twice- I always got "volunteered" for one of the legs with a waist deep river crossing.

If there is a team that needs a runner I may be in for this...

We are doing it, too. I am on the Purple Martins (our family name is Martin, my brother is a birder and a purple martin is a type of bird). I am doing all the legs where the poison ivy is minimal. I am VERY allergic to it!

"Minimal" and "Poison Ivy" should never appear in the same sentence when talking about Dances with Dirt!

I'm on the same team I've been on for 6 years, "Shut Up, Bob" formerly know as "Dirt Izzle For Shizzle"

I'm running Rave Run, Styx and the Stupid Lake, as usual....

Isn't this sucks the one that removes shoes and is potentially deadly to midgets?

Robyn- we've got the same legs (of the race)!  (Stampede/This Sucks/ and Amputation).  Looks like we'll be leading the pack.  I'm psyched for this mud-fest, my only two concerns are getting lost and looking like Trixie w/the skin disease from Hell from earlier this summer (=poison ivy).

Haha.. Our team name is Pine Martins NOT Purple Martins. And a Pine Marten is a weasel-like animal. My brother had to correct me.

Anyways, I am doing Purgatory, Amputation, and Don't get no better

I am VERY allergic to poison ivy and am hoping my legs are the least likely to have it. Can someone please reassure me? I am a nursing mom and would hate to have poison ivy to potentially pass it on to my little one.

I did talk to my acupuncturist today and she recommended something called Rhus Tox.. you can get it at any homeopathic store.. It is supposed to really help with poison ivy if you catch it.

I just answered a "need runner" post on the DWD site. I'm sad that I told runnergirl I couldn't do it. I wanna do it now. Hopefully I'll see you kids out there!!

There are going to be all sorts of sexy, poison ivy infected leg photos next week, aren't there?

Those crusty, runny, oozing rashes really get my heart pumpin'.
