Hello all,
I'm sure this has been asked before, but I couldn't find it! What do people recommend for a moderately priced wireless cadence monitor for the bike? I'm a college student, but I definitely need cadence these days, as my bike computer is telling me my average speed, and that's...it.
Thanks for any help!
Kate

I've got a Sigma BC 1606L DTS Wireless that I picked up on ebay and it seems to do the job okay. You can find them for about $50.

I picked up a Cateye "Strada" (I think) for $35 from Performance Bike and it works well (so far).  The even cheaper solution is a spreadsheet "cheatsheet" with your gearing that gives you speed @ 90 rpm taped to your top tube or stem.

FYI...the Strada wireless does not have cadence...only the wired version does. I should know, cuz I'm currently using a Strada wireless and wishing that I had cadence too. I'm looking at that Sigma mentioned by another poster and also the Blackburn Neuro series has a bunch of wireless cadence computers in the moderate price range.

X2

I just went wireless (was using a Cateye Astrale 8) and was able to try out a few models; I was going to go with the Cateye double wireless but after trying a few out, the Sigma double had a better display and user functions on-the-fly, and didn't break the bank. No regrets.

I bought the Polar CS100 with the optional cadence sensor on sale from Nashbar for about $110. That's about as low as you'll find for wireless cadence. Check Nashbar, though, the always have stuff on sale, though it might not be a brand you've heard of.
