I've been on call every other night for a week and a half to make up for my being gone for the next 4 days in Boston for a conference. Anyone know some good runs up there? I'm staying at the Sheraton downtown. Oh, and the Blackwells arrived. I've almost stopped drooling. Pics here. Saw that, very nice. So how was the Nation's Triathlon? I'm thinking of doing that as my first Oly next year. I think they had a few growing pains this year, going from 1k to 3k+ this year. The transition entries and exits were pretty crowded. Artemis did the swim so she would be able to comment better though I heard from quite a few people that sighting was a real pain because of the sun. The ride was super fast and flat the whole way, as was the run but it was brutally hot. Parking was a complete joke and the Shuttle didn't seem to do what it was supposed to, hopefully they will get that fixed, though I just parked at the Pentagon and walked over, was pretty simple. The finish line was jam packed, there were spectators, athletes all mixing together right after the chute, it was kind of crazy. Other than the crowding issues it was pretty fun I think. |
