Maurice and I would like to join ya'll.  Not sure what time we can make it though because of lots of kids activities on Sat. and we have to check our bikes in sometime before 6pm.  What time and where do you have in mind?

I'm down. I will be coming into town around 12-1 pm I think... maybe 2-3 at the latest. My fiance will also be with me. I have no clue what is around the hotel, or what is good in the area.

Most likely in.
Don't forget, there is the FREE pancake breakfast on Sat. morning at Jack and Adam's (do RSVP though)....granted, realize many of you will not be in town already, but for those who are, it's an idea for another chance to meet up.

Steve and I will be there.  How can you pass up free pancakes!

I'm 50-50.  If I make it to race day, I'll probably be saving my appetite for the ribs Dennis is going to pull behind his bike for me as per a previous thread.

I plan to be at the pancake breakfast.  Then head to the the race site to scope out the transition, maybe swim, drop off the bike, etc.

Depending on the group size, we should probably choose a location and try to make reservations. When I was in school, restaurants Austin were crazy busy on weekends.

I agree... look like 15 so far.

Any Austinites have a suggestion?  I would prefer early, around 5 or so.  Maybe somplace simple like Maccaroni Grill or Olive Garden.

If that works, I will find one and make a reservation.

Either of those (or elsewhere) are fine with me. Put me down for 2 people instead of 1 please

I used to live in Austin and if you want Italian to carb load I would suggest Romeo's -- it should not be too far from the race hotel.  Great food and local to Austin.

We may be in but I won't know until next week.

OK, Romeo's it is.  6:00 Saturday night.  We will be dining on the patio and are OK with separate bills!

See you all there!

I don't know how I missed this thread!  Kari and I might be there.  I still have to smoke all that brisket before race day...  Sunday we are just heating up everything.

Count Maurice and I in.  Our son has a football game at 1:30, so we should be home by 3:15, leave by 4 to drive bikes over to Decker Lake, leave lake at 5 to get to Romeo's....should work. And we have a buy one/get one free coupon...sweet!
