OOOH SOUNDS FUN!

I have a 5K that morning - but I am sure J and I will be in to help out someway (bike, food, etc).

HEY lets plan a "Running on the Sun" viewing party and logistics meeting for this thing SOON!

NOTE: I am out of town Thurs-Sun for "Wedding of the Century" but am available to you any other time after that.

As long as you don't mind if I mention a stick/snake, I shall be in for a loop that night.

K. Looks like I can make the 18th.  I will only do 1 lap probably while you do the 50 but that will at least give me an idea of the trail and where I can be to help you out on the 16th.  Also, if you are doing the get together at your place on the 11th I'm in.  I'll bring the "Paulette Pails" for us to get started on.

I'm there!

I know Sandy is planning on spending the night and making a camping trip out of it.

Jen and I are there. I think you'll definitely want some cold weather stuff. Definitely changes of clothes and mulitple pairs of socks/shoes. What sort of medical stuff do you have? (tape, blister kits, etc) We'll probably need some of that as well. Lights, batteries, etc.

As for support stuff do you know if we can have campfires? If so we need firewood, Lanterns, maybe an easy up to stay under, chairs and a table would be good to set up food stuff.

That's all I can think of for now.

From my viewing of Running on the Sun it seemed like around 30 miles or so they were changing the tape on their feet so blister kits/ tape/ moleskin a must. Also they liked to swap shoes and socks ALOT. Bring changes of clothes as you may be hot one lap, cold one lap. Bring all kinds of food for whatever you may feel like. But having the crew there we can always run into town to grab stuff from the store to suit your taste at that time.

We'll need:
- Chairs for you to sit in when you come in from a lap if you need to change socks/shoes/tape/etc
- LIGHTS
- Easy up would be nice
- Table or two would be nice
- Food for crew/ and PJ
- Medical supplies
- WATER WATER WATER

I am going to read more up on crewing to see what else we may need that we haven't thought of. Should we get together Thurs or Fri night or any other time this week to make sure we have someone who is bringing everything on our lists?

OH on second thought maybe no chair for you. Just read "BEWARE OF THE CHAIR!" HA HA!

But am reading about some good stuff to have: Tums! Candies, S-caps for electrolytes (do you like those?)

Wow so much to think about!

Supposed to be back up in the mid 90s this coming weekend with a low around 70. We just happened to get spoiled by a cold front this past weekend. Well... spoiled if you weren't out riding your bike.

You may want a headlamp but the moonlight should be enough.  Sometimes the lights just blind you and you really see better w/o them, but have it just in case.  Also one of my friends who mtn bikes the Pemberton says we'll see tarantulas.  No biggie as long as you're not spider-shy but it's just a good thing to know eh.  (they really seem to be out this year - I've seen 3 or 4 on my hikes these last 2 weekends)  And yes, I'm coming, hiking 1 loop and camping so will be there whenever you need me for whatever.

Hey! I want to do a lap with you Sat night, but I am thinking it would have to be the first lap. Don't know if someone has already called dibs on it or not.  And I run way slower than you, but if you don't mind I would run it with you to get you warmed up (haha) OR if you really want to go your pace, I would be happy to ride a bike. (This is where a SportyBot bike would have to come into play).

Let me know. I probably cannot make the planning party on Friday, but want to be there Sat night to help.

PJ - Yeah we'll be there Friday. We're up for biking a lap or taking one of the later laps for run-walking if you need someone then as well. Whatever you need. J and I can split up too depending on how many people come out. Lets see 50/15 = 3.3 so you'll totally be covered between Josh, me, Sandy, Tanya, Chile and Chris! We can even double up!

And yeah Sandy I think we saw 2 tarantulas on Pemberton last time!!!

I will bring ALL the stuff we usually bring for our 24 hour mtn bike races to set up a little PJ camp/ party site/ whateva.
