I have never used these keys.  Couldn't they have put something more usefull there?

Print screen gets you an image capture of what's on your screen. Then you paste it into photoshop.

Can be quite useful for blackmail, incrimination, etc...

ALt+Print Screen puts your current desktop on the clipboard. Open Paint and paste. You can then screen capture what you're seeing (like heel photos, error messages, whatever is necessary!)

Print Screen has been covered. I use it quite often actually. You can also paste into Word. Helps create detailed manuals/training scripts.

Pause/Break has some uses within AS400 systems and other code based systems.

I thought AS400 systems were not Y2K compatible.  WE had one pre 2000 and had a lot of fun changing everything last minute in '99.  Yeah.  Don't want to go through that again.

Actually Alt+Print screen captures the active window.  So if you have a dialogue box and want an image of that but NOT the whole screen use ALt+PrintScreen.

PS by itself takes a snaphot of the entire screen.

We still use and AS/400 system (until Feb 1 when I go live with our new system) therefore I use all of the mentioned keys rather often.

Dude!  I'm so sorry you are still on an Awe 400.  Can't even imagine going back to that dinosaur.

I have those keys and I use those keys.  I am a geek.  I would argue to get rid of the Caps Lock key, but I use that daily too.   MUST GET BACK TO WORK!
