I'm in to take on that Magnificent Bastard again, to borrow a phrase from Patton

My goal this year is sub 6:30, which would be a 35 minute PR over last year.....

Ouch.  got an early entry email, so shot over there.  Long course entry and Fri-Sun camping + fee = $347.    yikes!

Compare it to how much you spent for entry and housing for IMAZ08 (x2) and it'll seem very very cheap!

Oh, I am going back for sure  I love that race, camping and all.   Long course aid station 4 and the Saturday evening ... um...  "naturalist" run thru the campground are just two of the reasons

We've been waffling about this a bit cuz we'd already committed to LA Marathon on Memorial Day--which is closer to Wildflower than I'm totally comfortable with--but I think Liz and I will be in for WF...the half for me, Oly for her.

Looking forward to an event where she and I can both race, but not both on the same day.

Chris, you didn't do LC last year, so you may not know there was no Aid Station #4 ...

If you want to be near the start, buy a camping pass and stay inside the park.  Otherwise it's about a 30-40 minute drive from Paso Robles to the park.

There are park showers that are hot enough,  After the race you want a cold shower   You could also try sneaking into the Team in Training showers they bring in, like movie star trailer type of thing.

Food - You've got to count on camp cooking.  There is a little store at the campground area, but the campground is a couple hundred feet above the lake/expo, where the hot food is.  Don't want to be hiking that up and down too much.  they have a Friday night (I think) pasta dinner you can buy tickets for, but I am not sure if that is up at the camp or down at the lake...

Don't forget you need to pre-buy a camping pass, otherwise it's like $50 more at the gate, plus festival fees for each person int eh car.  A camping pass covers everyone in one car for camping and festival fees.
