Wish I could, but I'll be doing the Tawas HIM on Sept 12.  Sounds like a great time.

I am cautiously intrigued, and in no way prepared  Laughing

If you find yourself needing a rookie... I mean, fifth, let me know... I'm going to try a jedi mind trick on my wife to see if I can pencil it in

It looks masochistically fun, sorta

It sounds like the kind of punishment I'm looking for.  Have you done it before?  Am I reading it correct that it's a 5 person relay and each person runs 3 legs which are about 4 miles each?  I'm interested.  Not experienced, but interested.  Please tell me more.  I won't be able to go in person to register Saturday though.  What's the cost?

Hell specific DWD site - http://www.dwdhell.com/

I think the team registration cost is $400

sunshine....I'm in for the race and I can be there to sign up with you if need be but I can't front the 400 bones.  If you can do that, then sweet. but I totally understand if you can't.  let me know....call me, text me, beat me...

I can kick in my $80 today for whoever can go to register.  I'm not lightning quick though...running 7:45-9 minute miles for any distance over 5k, but I'll have lots of time to train.  Laughing

I can't register this weekend, nor do I have a team.  I will, however, offer up my body for whoever needs another to make a team.

If you are a new team you enter a lottery to register. Only teams that have raced before are guaranteed entry. Its capped at 375 teams. Typically there aren't many slots left for new teams.

I'm heading out to register my team (our 8th year) early, not doing the run, just dropping the check. The Dirt Diva is nothing if not a stickler about entry. No amount of begging seems to work!!

Well, I'd like to enter if.

1) we find a team of 5 willing souls.

2) one of those souls can go to Hell on Saturday, it'd be great if someone on the team has raced in the past 2 years so we can skip the lottery.

I'd go to Hell, but I'm chaperoning a church retreat this weekend, kind of ironic.

I can pay my portion now.

There will be no problem in getting people to run the race. In fact, I ran it with just three people one year, if need be I can do more than 1 person's portion.

The only team done in early afternoon are the winners. They finish way way ahead of everyone else. Expect to be done late afternoon/early evening. You aren't near the start finish area often, perhaps twice during the day, so getting to your car is a challenge.

My team has run with four several times when one person had something else to do. There will also be lots of teams looking for runners as the date gets closer, they post on the dwd message board.

I can't do it this year (baby and all... ) but I just wanted to respond and say that it was a total blast last year.  Hubby and I got recruited last minute and would love to do it again at some point... especially since we didn't end up with poison ivy!  Fun stuff!

I have 3 so far, looking for 2 more runners.  I also posted on the DWD website.  Registration is this Saturday so we're running out of time.

Well it looks like we may be able to put a team together.  I have a couple "leads" on runners from the DWD forum.  If any BTer is interested in joining up with us please email me...registration is Saturday.

I can't commit, as I don't know my kid schedule...but if I'm around, I can certainly run.

If I'm not, I'm absolutely positive I can find some dorks to fill in. I wouldn't worry too much about getting stuck with a half-filled team.
