Comments: Sucked horribly at the start. Blamed this on lack of a warmup. But once I got in the swing it clicked. Passed a LOT of people. I'm pretty happy with 33/191 and 3rd in my AG. What would you do differently?: Warm up more. Line up closer to the front. Transition 1
Comments: Not included in this time was T0: A 300 yard run from the beach to T1. T0 time was: 2:19 Timing chip got stuck on wetsuit. Had to remove chip. Forgot chip and had to go back in T1 to get it costing me about 45sec to 1 min. What would you do differently?: Make sure chip does not get caught. Need to try having shoes already clipped in. Bike
Comments: Did not feel great on the first half. By the second half was hammering it pretty good. What would you do differently?: I need more time in the saddle to work on maintaining a hard pace for the distance. Transition 2
Comments: Not too bad. The racks were so low I had an issue getting my TALL bike in the racks. Run
Comments: Legs would NOT turn over. Just not feeling great. Breathing was fine, legs were just like bricks. What would you do differently?: Need to do more bike/run bricks. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Need more training. Overall was a good first race of the season. Last updated: 2009-02-20 12:00 AM

PB&J and cup of coffee about 2 hours before race. A few bites of powerbar right before.
Kept waiting to warmup becuase the start was too far off. Then got distracted. Next thing I know the race is starting and I had not yet warmed up. Poor time management.
