Pro 4343 Olney, MD | Subject: Team Puebla - Cinco de Mayo Mutisport Challenge Welcome to the Cinco de Mayo Multisport Challenge! Cinco de Mayo (Spanish for "Fifth of May") is a regional holiday in Mexico, primarily celebrated in the state of Puebla, with some limited recognition in other parts of Mexico (in the US it seems to be an excuse to drink Mexican beer and eat nachos; for me it's a convenient name for a challenge). The holiday commemorates the Mexican army's unlikely defeat of French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of Mexican General Ignacio Zaragoza Seguin. Team Puebla kns57 enders_shadow colesdad D001 bscharff KOM Sweetcorn NoSit Your Team is named for Puebla, a state located in the center east of Mexico, to the east of Mexico City; the 5th most populated state in Mexico; the terrain is mostly mountainous. Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: Team Puebla - Cinco de Mayo Mutisport Challenge So I guess it's intro time.... Hi, my name is Dee, and I am addicted to BT, the Challenge forum and post-padding. (I have a feeling most of you knew all this already. LOL) My goals this month are somewhat low because it's a crazy month for me. (Crazier than usual, I mean.) But I plan to do a little swimming, a little biking, and a little walkogging. (As in walking/jogging.) |

Champion 6107 Out running or enjoying a fine glass of red... | Subject: RE: Team Puebla - Cinco de Mayo Mutisport Challenge Hello, I'm Kristen and I'm the challenge forum's resident oenophile, which is a fancy word for wino. To answer the above questions...yes, I'll drink beer (but I prefer margaritas with nachos) and no, there are no Mexican wines of note. I'm also pretty sure I'm going to have to increase my goals. I set them when I was feeling slothful after hurting myself running my first marathon, but I'm getting back in the groove. However, I'm going to hang with the low goals for a little longer before I up them. Thanks for setting this up! |

MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: Team Puebla - Cinco de Mayo Mutisport Challenge Hello all. For those who don't know me, I'm Kendra. Resident grandmother. I set my goals in sessions so that I don't have to worry about the distances. Haven't been in the pool in about 6 weeks and have my first tri for the season June 21st.

Master 2146 East Side of the Bay | Subject: RE: Team Puebla - Cinco de Mayo Mutisport Challenge Hola Team! I'm Kathy and addicted to challenges. I am also putting my goals into sessions since I am not sure how my knee/ITB will respond to restarting running. I am hoping to do a couple of sprint distance tris this summer but probably not until July at the earliest. I am learning to swim the front crawl and am really bad at it (I love breaststroke but it bothers my knees). One of my goals is to take a swim lesson or two. I am asking my family for lessons as my combined Mother's Day 51st BDay present. I did my last tri 5 years ago and thank BT for getting me back in the groove. |

We did a double brick this morning. Bike / Run - Beginners did 8 miles and then 1 mile followed by 6 miles and 1 mile. This is all after I played 100 holes of golf yesterday. |

I'm Trish and I missed my swim yesterday, so fell behind a bit, but ran 11 miles today (2.25 hours)! Go Pueblas! And thanks, Dee, for the chart. The background didn't come out in my blog, though?
