Usually have to mount them on the aero bar using the Profile aero bar adapter, don't see it fitting on the stem

I have mine mounted on the stem using the profile design universal computer mount (UCM).  I found that there wasn't any room on my aero bars with my aero bottle in place, so the stem was the best option.  The biggest issue with this config is having to take my eyes completely off the road to check speed, distance, cadence.

YES! I did this, but I had to use my drill to make the triangular-shaped holes larger. Once I made those holes bigger, I zip tied them to my stem. Works great! I'll send pics if you want.

I mounted mine on my stem. I just crossed the zip ties and I haven't had any trouble with it.

Ooohhh, I like jasonkoss's idea too! The zip ties almost go sideways through the holes... I used my drill to make the holes just a little bigger. Here is the result:

(yeah, yeah, I know - I have all my steerer-tube spacers still on there - new bike)

Prepare to replace your garmin when you ride over a bump and it goes flying. Unfortunately, I've learned this lesson already.

This thing hangs on to my Garmin tighter than I would prefer.... If I snap it in properly. Though in my experience it's either locked down super tight, or will fall right out. No amount of bumping, pulling or prying will get it out of there without me first PUSHING DOWN HARD on the top of the release. I've heard people complain (and even read a few "lost Garmin" threads), but I've had nothing but great experiences with it. YMMV, I guess.

Garmin was cool enough to replace mine under warranty when this happened to me last week.
