Subject: RE: SAT 6/20- OWS & Bud Plant RideJust as an FYI, please pay attention to the forecast tomorrow and the fact that it will be HOTTTT. Keep in mind that if we swim at 9:00, then you will not start riding until 10:30. (I am almost debating riding before the swim ) I might encourage those of you riding long (Lisa, Courtney, etc ) to consider doing shorter loops so that you can refuel frequently. For instance, I have 3.5 hours tomorrow. I am most likely going to do the 27 mile loop twice and then add the 15 loop if needed. This will put me back to my car every 1:30 where I will have an ICE cold bottle to cool me down. I will also have an option to change my nutrition plan if I see fit (electrolytes ). I know Cartersville has a few places to stop but for me, personally, it isn't worth the risk. Not trying to be self-promoting but I spent much of this week blogging about heat acclimatization, fluid loss and recovery. I might be helpful looking ahead to the weekend. |
