Subject:Roswell 22 Mile Ride Tuesday, June 23rd 6pm @ RAP
Ride Description We are doing the Roswell Ride on Tuesday 6pm leaving from the Roswell Area Park upper parking lot. Starting at Roswell Area Park we ride through Historic Downtown Roswell. We then take a few good hills followed by a ride down Riverside along the Chattahoochee, with alot of good hills along the way back to the finish. See the map below for the full route and elevation profile. A & B Group We usually break into an A and a B group. I lead the B group and the A group is led by whatever fast people show up. The A group is not no drop. If you get dropped by the A group and don't know the route, stop, consider yourself in the B group, andwe will be along shortly... Last week our A rider did a solo effort along a modified Roswell route at a 17mph average. It was just the B group doing the actual Roswell 22 mile route. Hopefully this week we have a better A group turnout and can continue to have two groups. Don't forget your running shoes and Taco Mac Passport! We do a short 1.5 mile run around RAP after the ride, before heading up to Taco Mac for some well earned refreshment. The turnout for Taco Mac last week was much higher than the ride. We usually arrive at Taco Mac around 8:15pm and it's located at 685 Crossville Rd in Roswell, GA. Last week Greg had the highest level of acheivement in the Passport Club by far out of the riders at Taco Mac. It was a very long and accomplished list. Weather Guideline It's currently forecasted to be mostly sunny and in the high 80s on Tuesday at 6pm. With the recent hot spell, I would suggest you bring two water bottles for the ride and one for the run and recovery after. No Drop The B group is a No Drop ride in case any of you want to ride but are not sure of yourself. Hope to see you there! Justin Directions to Roswell Area Park Click Here for Google Maps Directions to Roswell Area Park Located at 10495 Woodstock Rd Roswell, GA 30057 Directions once you turn into Roswell Area Park Go to the first street on your right which will take you up to the Community Activity Center where we park. Generally we all park together in front of the Community Activity Building where there is access to Water and restrooms. If there happens to be a swim meet at the Community Activity center that day, parking may be limited in front of the building. Just park anywhere and ride your bike over to the front of the building at 6pm.
Think I'll bring the lady friend out to this. When you say group B, does that mean 15mph avg or lower. You do say no drop so I guess I shouldn't be worried about losing the lady to some rabid dogs? Although...
sabrekitty - 2009-06-22 10:46 AM Neal's the only rabid dog you'd have to worry about...
... I was thinking the same thing when I read his post...
BTW, candence.king just to put your mind at ease now. Since this ride's inception (Cornelius300 and I started it a couple of years ago), it has been my duty to wait on the last person almost every ride, so if your lady friend is the slowest rider, I am not trying to move in on you. I am just doing what I always do.
Hey Justin, are all the larger pictures your bribe to getting more people to ride. Like ok guys, if you ride with us you will get a nice picture of yourself on the thread.
Seriously, I would again like to commend you on the great job you have done on this.

As long as you think you can handle her with her pink bike (sorry she would correct me, berry colored), pink helmet, and pink jersey, by all means, ha. This sounds like a great ride, looking forward to meeting everyone!

Actually, it looks like you will have to keep an eye on Justin now. I have received my "special invitation" by email from the "Man" to ride with the "A" group. ... Such an honor... so I guess Justin is planning on riding sweeper for the B group.

Neal, Thank you for your nice comments regarding the posts and for coming out to ride at RAP instead of Columns. The "A" group honor only extends for as long as you can hang with Karen and Scott. If you get dropped, just wait and the "B" group will be along shortly... See you tomorrow, Justin

ooooh, that hurt... the only way for it to hurt worse would have been to add the dreaded "S" word.

This ride gets more organized as the days and weeks roll - note the alphabetical listing of participants! I love it!
