New guy here. Can I join in? Where exactly do you meet at Sandy Point? How long are you swimming? How fast? I might be able to make it.

Everyone's welcome! As one of the slower swimmers, we can hang out.

If you've been to Sandy Point, you can go to the end of the road where the circle is, and turn into the lot on the right. That's where we met last time.

We did a mile last time around and I personally think that would be a good distance to do again, but the nice thing is that you can call it quits at any time because you're all of 75m from shore, and you can walk most of the way back.

Hope to see you there!

BTW--on that happy note, isn't it about to be jellyfish season?

If the jellies are there, what can one use for protection? I've never had to deal with that.

I'm out for the ride, but planning to do a 4 mile run after the swim at a 10ish min/mile pace if anyone is interested.

I might join you for the run and do a long ride on Friday since I'm off work.

Just hope that the faster swimmers in front move them out of the way. I would think that with all the rain we've had that they might not be to bad.

Yup, on the right at the end of South Beach Rd. We're usually in the second row about a quarter of the way down. There shouldn't be too many people there that time of the morning.

Though, the last time there seemed to be 2 other tri groups working out.
I have a gold Maxima. Let's us know what you drive and we'll look out for you.

I am to soon become a prisoner to training.  My 19 week sentence begins this week.  I'll be there.   I am biking the annapolis course after the swim and running a 5k around the park after the ride.

I like the sound of that. The bike ride and 5K run not the prisoner to training part.

I think I'd like to join in in order to get some open water experience (have my first tri in mid August), but I'm not a terribly strong swimmer.  My particular bugaboo is efficient breathing (still suck at bilateral breathing).  Would I be a drain on the group?

If not, I'd also be up for a ride afterwards.
