New user 14 |  Subject: Where do I go to ask this question?Okay, sorry about this but I'm new here and wanted to ask a question about the Lake Lanier Triathlon in October. Is this the right forum place for this? Well, since Im already here I'll ask. What's this sprint triathlon like? Hilly? Flat? Any opinions? I am VERY NEW to this and wanted to do a sprint this fall and a sprint or olympic next spring and then the 1/2 IM in Augusta in September. Is this smart, stupid or crazy? I heard the Hickory Knob triathlon in October was tough, and would be tough as a first tri. If anyone has an opinion I would appreciate it. Thanks!  |

The GA forum is very active and you can get all sorts of info about local races as well as find group rides to go: http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/forum-view.asp?fid=39 You'll get tons of answers there. You can also go to the race and read last years race reports.http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/directory/link-detail.asp?linkid=7484 I have not done this race but I have done Iron Girl 3 years running and the bike is longer than the one you're talking about but on the same course. Welcome to BT ... if you are looking for answers such as this without the attitude, then you are in the right place  Lisa is spot on when it comes to the Georgia forum, just follow the link below. There are a lot of BT'ers from the greater Atlanta area as well as throughout the state. One thing to add about the race; it always sells out ... sometimes as early as mid-August.
