That's going to be on the day after I do 2 days of long/slow/boring rides, I might want to just lay around.
What I'm saying is to replace some of that long/slow/boring with this short/fast/fun. The whole thing about training is stressing your body, right? So what is more stress? I'd argue they're probably pretty similar. Long stuff is hard because it is so long. Short stuff is hard because it is so fast. Both are a hard workout.
Skip one of those long days, replace it with this race, it'll still be a good, hard workout which is really all we are all after. |
